About me
Welcome to my website! I am Po-Lin Chen, and you can just call me Berlin.
Currently I am exploring the possibilities of computer vision, deep learning systems, and robotics during my Master of Science in Computer Vision (MSCV) at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) (under Robotics Institute (RI), School of Computer Science (SCS)).
I enjoy creating efficient ML/AI solutions for embedded devices. During my internship as an AI Software Engineer at Advantech, I optimized heterogeneous on-device inference on Intel CPU/iGPU and designed a visual/barcode multi-modal anomaly detection system.
Prior to that, during my 2.5-year undergraduate research at Biophotonics and Bioimaging Lab advised by Prof. Ta-Te Lin, I drove an initiative to develop an edge-cloud ML livestock monitoring system designed for dairy farms. The system is still operating at NTU's Experimental Farm and keeping being scaled up.
I graduated from Bachelor of Science in Biomechatronics Engineering with Artificial Intelligence Specialization
from National Taiwan University (NTU)
where I learned multi-disciplinarily from bioengineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, and so on.
